Global Golf Betting Picks for the Byron Nelson, LIV Golf Singapore & More
This past weekend was just one of those weeks where the picks ran into buzzsaws. We recorded top-three finishes on the LPGA, Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Champions but finished a combined 15 shots back.
We're on to another busy week with Global Golf Betting Picks for these five tournaments this week:
THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson – PGA TourChina Open – DP World TourLIV Singapore – LIV GolfMaekyung Open – Asian TourInsperity Invitational – PGA Tour ChampionsTHE CJ CUP Byron Nelson – PGA TourBest Bet: Mark Hubbard +6000 (FanDuel)
Mark Hubbard is my play here. The Byron Nelson has been set up as a birdie-fest most seasons, and he's got the putter that can roll in the 30 or so birdies that will be required this week.
Hubbard's play has been consistent as he's made all 12 cuts in 2024 and has two top fives during that run, including last week at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. We didn't get Shot Tracker this year at that event, so it's tough to tell if anyone did the heavy lifting in group play.
Nonetheless, Hubbard entered in much better form than his partner Ryan Brehm, so it's likely he pulled his weight to get the team into contention.

We haven't seen the Euro Tour play in China since the pre-COVID days.
On this side of the globe, I always get drawn to Gavin Green. The Malaysian usually fits well during the Asian swing. He was fifth a few weeks ago in India and was 19th here back in 2019, the last time the DP World Tour made its stop in China.
The DP World Tour is weaker in general now than back then, but with the travel required, we're seeing an even bigger hit to the field strength over the last couple weeks. As a result, getting him at this price seems like decent value to me.

Back-to-back weeks with LIV Golf events are rare, but the tour makes the trip from Australia to Singapore this week.
This has been a tough tour to get value on since the fields never change. Consequently, the only variability from week to week is the course.
That's what leads me to Mito Pereira this week. He's struggled this year but did finish eighth last week and was fifth here a year ago.
He's spent a lot of time on this tour in the 20-1 or 30-1 range, but his lack of form has caused some drift this year. If his game is back in good shape, we probably have one week with this type of price before he's back in that range again.
Maekyung Open – Asian TourBest Bet: Yubin Jang +2800 (bet365)
The Asian Tour makes a stop in South Korea this week. This tour has been dominated by LIV Golf players throughout much of the past couple years, so it's nice to get a week without them.
While this is a co-sanctioned event, between the Asian and Korean Tours, no one from outside of South Korea has won the event since 2004 — so the locals appear to have an edge here.
I'm going to highlight the 21-year old Yubin Jang for this one. He turned pro last year, and in 18 starts since 2023, he's got nine top 10s and a win. This is a nice price for a player who projects to be on one of the bigger tours sooner rather than later.
Other Maekyung Open bets:
Taehee Lee +5500Minkyu Kim +6600Hyungjoon Lee 100-1 Our Staff's Byron Nelson Best BetsRead nowInsperity Invitational – PGA Tour ChampionsBest Bet: Bob Estes +6600 (bet365)
It's a light week on the Champions Tour for me. Steven Alker enters at +350 and has won here back-to-back years. He's also been in the top four in three of his last four starts, plus Padraig Harrington decided to show back up.
Bob Estes is my play here because he's got a fifth and sixth on the course in the past three years and has been among the top 15 in his last three starts. The course is just north of Houston, so this appears to be a comfortable spot for the Texas native who's riding some strong form.
Other Insperity Invitational bets:
